Since the release of the WiiU in Nov. 2012, fans have been awaiting a proper successor to the Wii. On this past Friday, March 3, 2017, their wishes were finally granted.
The Nintendo Switch, which is a hybrid home and portable console, has reportedly outsold the Wii when comparing each of their launches. According to Nick Wingfield of the The New York Times, the “Nintendo Switch exceeded first two-day sales in (the) Americas for any system in Nintendo history.” His multiple posts on Twitter give short details on his unpublished interview with Nintendo of America president, Reggie Fils-Aime.
